Weird and pretty decent! The premise: Noemí Taboada receives a strange letter from her newlywed cousin begging for someone to save her from a mysterious doom, and Noemí goes to her - and we find out what she discovers at High Place. Although I hate to admit I was planning to be floored by this debut with #bookstagram praise - I didn't love this gothic thriller, but I liked it enough and I appreciated how different it was than a lot of books out there.
