This. This article below hits the nail on the head.
Just like everyone else, my whole life changed on a dime overnight. I was a full-time employee with a sweet freelance writing gig - and now I'm neither as both wells have (rightfully and understandably) dried up in this new COVID-19 world.
My children went from having their own school lives to having their entire universe scaling back to a 1,200 square foot home. Their "social" time is now through a screen like all of their work and even their gym class.
We are all mourning the loss of "being" - and venturing outside our own walls. We miss our people, we miss our lives.
It will pass; yes, it will. But it also feels like grief right now, and it feels good to say it out loud.
Sending you all so much love right now in this bizarre time. π#ineedmorebooks #sendbooks
